Kumho Solus TA31: The Tire for Luxury Sedans and SUVs

The Kumho Solus TA31 is an all-season tire designed for luxury sedans and SUVs. The tire's tread grooves contain a specifically formulated rubber composition that improves traction, steering response, and grip on dry and wet surfaces to lessen hydroplaning. The large shoulder tread blocks enhance the tire's ability to be controlled, whereas the steering response and accuracy are improved by softening the contact edge and increasing the area of contact with the road. The interior design of the tire and the dual compound combine to lessen road vibrations sensed inside the car, thus lending a quiet and comfortable ride. An asymmetric tread pattern decreases road noise and fuel consumption, while wide grooves in the tread transport water away from the tire for improved wet grip.

The tire has four grooves, each with a different number of sipes, that help improve traction even further in all weather conditions. This tread pattern also helps push away water quickly, thus lowering the risk of aquaplaning in wet conditions. The jointless bead bundle provides a precise tire-to-rim fit and maximizes ride comfort by ensuring the tire always maintains road contact. These non-directional tires are manufactured in South Korea.
