Automotive Power Tools

In addition to the hand tools found in your tool box, automotive power tools are an essential part of every mechanics tool collection.  One of the biggest differences between a hand and a power tool is that the latter requires a power source, either via an electric outlet or battery. Power tools not only make jobs easier but make jobs quicker.

Pick Your Tool

Every auto enthusiast knows that having the right tool is what makes the difference in getting the job done and getting it done right. Stock up your garage with a collection of tools that not only do the job but do the work promptly, precisely, and with as little effort on your part as possible. Popular power tools include wrenches, sanders, drills, and screwdrivers.

Forget the need for long, bulky cords or an air compressor with cordless power tools. Rechargeable batteries allow you to get in and reach areas where a cord would hold you back or where plugging it into an outlet is not an option. Cordless means that you have the ability to fix things whether you are in the garage or on the side of the road.  Not all power tools run off the same size battery but often you will find that a brand will use interchangeable batteries that will work with an entire line of products. It is important to charge your batteries often so once you start a project you have the juice to finish it.

Like the battery operated type, corded tools have several benefits, too. For example, you never have to worry about the battery running down, just plug in and work until the job is complete. Of course, you do need to be in an area that offers an electrical outlet, and you need to either use an extension cord or be close enough to an outlet that the attached cord will reach where you need it.

No matter what type of grease monkey you are—a hobbyist or a professional—having the proper mechanic power tools will make your workload less heavy and more enjoyable.
